A Transition in the Kingdom

A Transition in the Kingdom, recorded live at Christ Temple Church in Huntington, West Virginia, opens with three Spirit-filled songs from Community Family Church: “Blessed be the Name of the Lord” (Ashley Bates), “No One but Jesus,” and “Life beyond Death” (Tommy Bates).

Pastor Bates begins this compelling message on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the end times with a vivid description of the models of worship God has provided his people. Moses built a tabernacle. Solomon built a temple. Having served their purpose, both lie in ruins. But David left a more durable “tabernacle” in the form of a pattern of worship based on his passionate love of God: “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord” (Psalm 150).   In Acts 15:16, the Lord promises to rebuild the tabernacle of David, to restore Davidic praise and worship to its central place in the church. On the day of Pentecost, when the church was planted, the “early rain” appeared in the form of praise, worship, speaking in tongues, and a manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. But there is to be a second rain at harvest time, just before the coming of the Lord, a “latter rain” in which the same blessings of Pentecost are being poured forth “on all flesh,” as Joel prophesied. In this season, the temple of Davidic praise, of intimate worship and connection between God and His people, is being restored and renewed. Pastor Bates traces the onset of this promised latter rain to the early 1900s when the power of Pentecost broke out in various locations—Azuza Street in Los Angeles, in east Texas, Kansas and in the Appalachian mountains. Same rain, different seasons—seed time and a bountiful harvest. He traces the history of the latter rain from its humble beginnings to its present world-wide manifestations. And he predicts that the ordinance of Davidic praise will be the key that renews the church in a glorious ways beyond our imagination.

You cannot afford to miss this brilliant prophetic message.
